This past week has been uite a week... here's a quick catchup on things.
Last Friday at the end of the work day Mom, Dan and I were shutting down the plant. Mom went and let the dogs out... wellll they were a bit excited to getout and big ole Fred (a 1.5 year old great dane who weighs 115 lbs) plowed into MOm as he was playing with Baler (the other watch dog) Neither Dan nor I even had a second to react and catch her. She fell smack dab on her hip on the concrete. After she sat still she tried to get up and realized pretty uickly that something was wrong. Dan helped me to load her in the car and off we went to the hospital.
After way too many hours in the ER(we didn't leave until 2 am) they pronounced that her hip was broken and she woul dneed a replacement. Just the way all of us wanted to spend our weekend... especially Mom! It was a long long night.. probably longest for Mom. They finally got they finally got her into a room at 1:00 AM. Memo (who had joined us about 7 after he fed) and I headed home ot get Mom her comfy pillows and anything that might make her feel a little better! Headed back to the hospital and finally truly headed home around 2:00 am. The bad part is that once we were home neither of us could fall asleep. Then of course when the alarm went off at 6:30 boom we were both up! We made some breakfast and headed back to the hospital. Long story short, Mom's surgery ended up being SUnday. So we spent Saturday between taking care of Nannya nd hanging with Mom. Then Sunday Memo took care of Nanny and I headed to the hospital for her surgery. It's funny because we didn't do much physically but wow did it beat me up! Good thing is that Mom is a toughie and she is already home and on her way to full recovery. She truly amazes me. She may be tiny but WOW is she mighty

Soooo Mondaya I got to work about 6:00 am because i knew I needed to go through Mom's stuff at work and get everything in line. I also had a ton of other things since it was the month end for us as well. I won't bore you with the work stuff, but let's just say it was a tadd stressful. I noticed as long as I kept going, then I was ok. About 2:00 I just felt off... I called the Dr and they wanted me to come the office ASAP. Memo met me over there and they did an ultrasound first. That's where this little Lilah picture comes from, cute nose huh? The babies were not in distress but it seems I was headed into preterm labor. I had some bleeding and some contractions. My cervix had shortened and also gotten "mushy" They chose to give me a magnesium drip and put me on my back and measure my contractions for a bit. As soon as they could, they sent me home and put me on bedrest. Well, you all know me and sitting on my butt has not made for an easy week, but it is well worth it in the long run. It's Friday now, and I feel fine. Memo had to have his surgery for his hands on Wednesday. So other than that day I have been a good girl and laid on my tush. I am sure you are tired of reading now, so I will close it out. Needless to say a I lay here I have been trying to think of things to do.... so I practiced swaddling on Maggie (my little dog!) What do you think?
